This renovation project features what was once an outdated landscape, completely reimagined to fit the craftsman style architecture of the house, with some Asian design elements that the client wanted to incorporate. The end result is a Zen-like outdoor gathering area and low-water use/low-maintenance landscape, featuring two pergolas, a fire pit and dining area, a drilled basalt column water feature with a carved wood door and Asian elephant backdrop, a usable (but drastically reduced) lawn area, lots of custom stone work, concrete flatwork, landscape lighting, and a fencing facelift.
